The Delphian School™ English as a Second Language Program

Campus Life

Students should be prepared for a schedule brimming with study and activity from early in the morning through the evening hours, nearly every day of the week. The weekends offer study halls as well as trips, sporting events and a variety of social activities. Students will find it an atmosphere of both fun and challenge. The uniting of American and English-as-a-Second Language students creates a natural environment to become familiar with the English language, make new friendships and gain a greater understanding of various cultures.

All boarding students enrolling in the Elementary and Middle Schools have Personal Teachers—faculty or staff who help provide the extra care and attention needed for a child of this age group who is away from home. Personal Teachers maintain direct communication with the parents concerning the child's growth and development while at the school.

Upper School students have Faculty Advisors—faculty or staff who provide adult friendship and guidance to help students in a variety of ways. This may include a trip into town for supplies, assistance in making travel arrangements or a good, heart-to-heart conversation.
